Comments: Nearly the whole volume is Oz experiencing the memories of Jack, the ones from the very beginning. It tells the story of how Alice was formed and also reveals the true nature of Oz, both were designed to shock the viewer with some massive bombshells. On the whole, it does a good job introducing Lacie and then building the relationship between Jack and her. It takes a short while to set up the scene before Alice is finally introduced, although it all feels somewhat contrived. Thanks to the disjointed flashbacks throughout the series, it can be confusing when you add yet another piece
