Tomorrowland

From trailers and even in the first 45 mins of the film, it's hard to determine what exactly Tomorrowland is about.  All we know is that Casey gets a pin, and when she touches it, she sees a vision of some place else, somewhere a lot more futuristic.  The storytelling of Tomorrowland's plot leaves a lot to be desired since it feels muddled and it is confusing.  Eventually, once the setups are in place and Casey arrives in Tomorrowland, you understand what is going on.  Basically, Tomorrowland is an alternate dimension free of the boundaries of politics and rivalries, therefore meaning technological advances are unhampered hence the futuristic feel of the city.  A lot of the plot elements and scenes are exaggerated which takes you out of the immersion.  George Clooney's performance is surprisingly strong and while the resolution of the film is a tad bit predictable, the film overall is somewhat enjoyable.  Tomorrowland is hampered by storytelling that bogs you down but at its core, the concept is interesting and unique.
