Book Review: Attack on Titan: Before the Fall Vol. 3

Review:  #618
Title:  Attack on Titan:  Before the Fall Vol. 3
Series:  Attack on Titan:  Before the Fall - 3rd volume
Author:  Ryo Suzukaze
Read Before:  no
Comments:  The whole volume depicts how the Survey Corps and Kuklo deal with the fifteen-meter titan they encountered right outside the walls.  The Survey Corps has nothing but guns, horses and swords which obviously is quite useless against such a huge foe when they have to reach the nape of the neck to defeat it, their only hope is to stall for time, enough to get back to the safety within the walls.  The action sequences can get confusing at times, making it hard to decipher what is happening and in the end, how Kuklo manages to escape isn’t anything surprising or amazing.  Once back inside the city, the plot moves onwards a little bit with Kuklo being captures and Sharle meeting with the Survey Corps captain.  While not a boring volume thanks to its frenzy action, it doesn’t provide many advances in its story before the volume ends.
