Comments: The flashback that was halfway through in the end of the last volume finishes here and while there is an overuse of flashbacks in the series, undeniably, this one was useful in providing some background story. There are some wild fight scenes in which you’ll probably have no clue what is going on, with multiple viewpoints and characters appearing. Ayanami actually wins, which was surprising and Teito wasn’t able to escape. The next big thing happens, and that is that Ayanami wipes Teito’s memories, but it feels weird and a cheap way to get out of the situation.
