My Comments: A bit predictable in some chapters. There’s also the obligatory festival chapters in which the characters wear kimonos and there’s a fireworks display. Of course, there’s also the relationship building of the characters… not to say that it wasn’t enjoyable, they’re always funny. Not much has been done to advance the plot, Shinji’s relationship with Asuka and Rei has been the same, obvious jealousy between them, while you still have no idea of what the experiments and training is all about. The art is getting better so it’s not too bad overall.
